System wide BWA issued for St Martinville
Drinking Water Advisories
- St Martinville - St Martin Parish - system wide BWA issued Sep 19 for line leak repairs associated with drought and aging infrastructure
- East Richland Water System BWA issued Sep 20 for Willow Haven Apartments on Cook Road until further notice
- Simpson - Vernon Parish - BWA issued Sep 19 for customers on Beldon Jackson Road and 196-328 Buck Run Road
One advisory has been rescinded in Region 5 this week:
Lafayette - Lafayette Parish The BWA issued Sep 14 for South College Road to the north, Willow Street to the south, East Pinhook Road to the west, and Bertrand Drive to the east has been rescinded.
HABs based on satellite images from NCCOS HABS Monitoring Program
Lake Allemands and Bayou Fortier HABs concentration increases to 3 million plus cells per 100 ml. Lake Pontchartrain band of algal bloom from north shore to the south shore on the west side of the water body. Shorelines appear clear.

- Sept 4 - unknown amounts of sewage reported spilled from a lift station and into the soil due to a power outage on Hemphill Dr in West Monroe - Ouachita - Region 3 3
- Sept 3 - unknown amounts of diesel reported spilled onto the pavement and into a drain from an over filled tank on Sherwood Forest Blvd in Baton Rouge - East Baton Rouge - Region 7
- Sept 1 - sheen noted from an unknown source on an unnamed waterbody in Grand Isle - LA - Region 7
- Sept 1 - sheen noted from an unknown source in Sidwell - St Tammany - Region 5
- Aug 30 - unknown amount of crude oil reported spilled onto the deck of a barge due to broken pressure gage on Ernest Wilson Dr in Port Allen - West Baton Rouge - Region 7
Streamflow Situation
- USGS streamflow gages throughout the central state remain below normal. Extreme hydrologic drought conditions presenting in the Tangipahoa River watershed.
