Sulphur City officials have issued a precautionary boil advisory following a water main break on Saturday. Customers connecting at W. Burton Street to OQuain St and Live Oak Street to Hoffpauir Road are impacted.
Flood Tracker provisional data from USGS streamflow monitors
Fifty-one streamflow gauges record flooding in the USA Sunday, up from fifty yesterday. WT tracks the nation's most common natural disaster dynamics through the states of New York, Ohio, Georgia and Louisiana. As of this report we are watching 9 monitors indicating active flooding: 3 in Georgia and 6 in Louisiana.
Ohio is under a freeze watch again tonight into Monday morning. Flooding recorded Saturday on the Tuscarawas River below Dover Dam near Dover has ended, along with all flows in the 99th percentile.
Georgia's Day 46 of continuous flooding is down to three stations left. Gulf of Mexico basin and Suwannee tributary Wihlachoochee River stopped flooding near Pinetta, FL right around 1 pm this afternoon leaving Alapaha River flooding just over a foot above the channels at Stateville and near Jennings, FL. In the Atlantic basin, Satilla River is down another foot overnight, running 15.22 dt deep, that is more than two feet over flood stage (13 ft) near Atkinson. NWS Flood warning statement gives the impact of Satilla River flooding at Atkinson impacting Warners Landing, Louis Landing and secondary roads around KOA campgrounds. These areas begin to flood at 13 ft. At 14.0 feet, River Rock Road begins to experience flooding across the road. As Satilla is currently over 15 ft deep, the public is warned these areas are inundated as of now, do not drive through flood water.
Additional details from flood forecast of the NWA: The river is expected to fall to 14.2 feet by Wednesday morning.
Louisiana flooding is down to six sites Sunday. Region 1 Bayou Dorcheat is running half a foot over flood stage near Springhill. Bayou Bodcau continues to rise, now more than ten feet out of the basin near Shreveport. To the east in watershed Region 2, Little River flooding ended Saturday morning as expected. In Region 4, Sabine River flooding ceased near Burkeville on Saturday afternoon. Downstream near Bon Wier, TX, floodwater runs four feet over the channel, further downstream near Ruliff two feet over the channel. Calcasieu River is is no longer flooding, the last station running over being near Glenmora in the upper channel, this flood got under control Saturday afternoon. In Region 7, the east state border Pearl River continues to flood in excess of two feet above flood stage near Bogalusa, close to two feet over downstream at Town of Pearl River.
As of this report, New York has no active flooding, one station is giving 99th percentile flow signal, Swan River is still recording high flow at East Patchogue on Long Island.

As many drinking water facilities are supplied from surface water reservoirs, the streamflow situation is pertinent to both drinking water supply and quality. High flows can stir up sediment and cause turbidity in the reservoirs, requiring additional treatments to render the water potable. Low flow volume is linked to warmer temperatures in the reservoir and can be an issue for water quality where HABs are present. WT tracks streamflow trends with an eye to the impacts on drinking water supply and quality in each of the state's watersheds. Check the watershed layer on the map to see the direction of flow and streamflows that may be impacting drinking water today.
USGS Provisional Data Statement
Data are provisional and subject to revision until they have been thoroughly reviewed and received final approval. Current condition data relayed by satellite or other telemetry are automatically screened to not display improbable values until they can be verified.
