WT HAB Tracker from the satellite monitoring program of National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS)
A satellite image of Lake Pontchartrain and the southeast water bodies is dated Sep 13, taken at a wind speed 4.8 mph. This image is partially cloud obscured, we can see Lac des Allemands lakewide HAB is down to 800 or 900 thousand cells per ml, much lower than last week. Lake Pontchartrain is cloud obscured on the west side, the open water visible from center to the east shows no HAB activity or too low to visualize. Lake Verret is the high concentration leader today, a lakewide HAB at 1 million cells per ml. See the latest LA HAB Tracker report, here.
