Black River Water System issued BWA following water main break in Region 2, flooding in Region 4
Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Catahoula Parish: Black River Water System issued a BWA Saturday after a water main break and repair. Customers on Highway 564, Willow Lake Road, and Davis Road are impacted. Black River Water System serves 2256 customers from a groundwater source in Watershed Region 2.
St Tammany Parish: City of Mandeville issued a boil water advisory last week after City workers hit a water line causing a large water leak. Three commercial buildings near the site were impacted by the incident and BWA, no residences are included in the order. Mandeville Water Supply serves a population of 13 thousand from a groundwater well source in Region 7 watershed.
Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS monitoring sites in the rivers and bayous of Louisiana
Mostly sunny, high 82 in New Orleans Veterans' Day with streamflows much above normal to high after heavy rains on the weekend, flooding ongoing in Region 4 watershed.
Calcasieu River is flooding at three monitoring stations from the upper basin to the lower channel with tributary Ouiska Chitto Creek flooding near New Oberlin. See black tags on the map to the right for details.
