Assumption Parish hydrant replacement and BWA for Belle River area

Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Assumption Parish: Assumption Parish Waterworks District 1 declared a Boil Water Advisory yesterday following a hydrant replacement. The BWA applies to Bayou Tranquille, Eagle Point, and Michel Road in the Belle River area east of Avoca Island Cutoff. The Assumption Parish WW District 1 serves a residential population of 21,366 from a surface water source in Region 7 watershed.

Richland Parish: Rayville was under a boil water advisory over the weekend following repairs to the East Richland Water System on Friday. Customers on Orchard Lane, South end of Highway 852 up to the intersection of Highway 852 and Buckles Road were impacted with the BWA. Rayville Water System serves 4842 customers from a groundwater well source in Region 3 watershed.

Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS monitoring sites in the rivers and bayous of Louisiana
Sunny and 72 in New Orleans Tuesday. Calcasieu River continues to flood in the upper channel near Glenmora, a foot and a half over minor flood stage. See the black tag on the map to the right for water level and flow volume details.

The drought map retains the same pattern, Region 3 has a band of moderate drought along the Bayou Macon-Tensas River channel down the county line between East and West Carroll Parishes. Region 1 watershed's West Bossier Parish remains below normal. The remaining area of Louisiana is unrated on the drought map.

The latest image upload was captured Nov 25 at wind speed 6.0 mph. Lake Palourde has a widespread HAB bloom in the east half, 600 thousand cells per ml. Lac des Allemands west bay has widespread HAB 500 thousand cells per ml. Lake Salvador continues with dispersed HABs in the east half, 300 thousand cells per ml.
