Customers of the River Point Water System in Bossier Parish under BWA for e.coli
Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Bossier Parish: A BWA was issued yesterday for customers of the River Point System after a routine test turned up E. coli bacteria. River Point Water System serves 45 people from a groundwater source in the Carrizo Aquifer.
Terrebonne Parish: A boil water advisory has been issued for five addresses on Sucrose Drive in Schriever, the connections impacted are located between 278 – 288 Sucrose Drive. More to follow.
Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS river monitors in Louisiana
Flooding in watershed Region 7 is over. Tchefuncte River breached flood stage at Covington around 930 am yesterday morning, the flooding went on for thirteen hours, ended around 1030 pm last night. Tangipahoa River was back in the channel at Robert by 930 am yesterday, that flood lasted two hours. Watershed Region 4 Calcasieu River continues to overflow near Glenmora, currently a foot and half over the channel.
Partly sunny in New Orleans, high 62. Shreveport reports a slight chance of showers today before 2 pm and a high 62. The chance of showers increases to 50% tonight after 3 am. Streamflows run normal to abovve normal statewide. The drought map continues to thin out, smaller areas of Region 3 are rated with drought, the moderate drought remains along the Ouachita River channel through Union, Ouachita, Caldwell and Catahoula Parish. Jackson and Winn Parishes remain below normal in watershed Region 3. Region 1 watershed has Webster Parish below normal.
