Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS monitoring sites in Louisiana
New Orleans reports mostly cloudy, 75 degrees with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 3pm and 5pm. Tonight, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm, then a slight chance of showers after 5am with patchy dense fog coming in after 8pm. Shreveport local forecast center is reporting mostly sunny today, high 69. Rain is likely tomorrow, up to three quarters of an inch possible.

Streamflows in the northwest have shifted with the rain yesterday, rivers and bayous running normal to much above normal water levels through Region 1 and Region 4, all along the west state line. Region 3 received some moisture, enough to bring the streamflows back to seasonal normal. Watershed regions 5 and 7 are still rolling below seasonal normal with one low rating in Region 7. To the drought map, severe drought continues in Region 7 Washington Parish, while Region 3 gets a break, the severe drought has backed down to moderate in Claiborne, Union and Lincoln Parishes. Areas rated below normal appear as reported here yesterday, Region 3 East Carroll, Madison and Tensas Parishes, and Region 1 Bossier Parish. Region 4's Sabine River channel remains below normal, the rest of Region 4 is off the drought map. Region 5 is below normal at Evangeline and Acadia Parishes. Most of Region 7 is now rated below normal.
