Water leak prompts a system-wide boil advisory in Jeanerette

Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Iberia Parish: City of Jeanerette Water System has issued a system wide boil water advisory following a leak that dropped pressure in the distribution system. City of Jeanerette Water System supplies 5802 residential customers from a groundwater source in Region 5 watershed.

Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks District No.1 issued a boil advisory yesterday following a water main break and two small leaks. Customers impacted by this order are those connecting on the 8500 block of HWY 80 up to Eddies Gas Station on Goodwill Road.

St. Landry Parish: Prairie Ronde Water System announced a service outage following discovery of a leaking water main on Sunday. As of the last update, the leak had been located yesterday and repairs were to commence the same day. Following the restoration of service, customers will have to boil water until lab tests determine the water supply is free of contaminants. Customers impacted by the outage and subject to BWA are those connecting north of the Dubuisson Booster Station on Highway 182. Prairie Ronde Water System provides potable water to 6090 customers from a groundwater source in watershed Region 5.

Bossier Parish: Consolidated Waterworks 1 has issued a BWA for customers connecting along HWY 614 and Stewart Road in Bossier Parish near Haughton following a water main break on the weekend. The Consolidated Waterworks 1 serves 1070 customers from a groundwater source in watershed Region 1.

Streamflow Situation from the network of monitoring stations of the US Geological Survey in Louisiana
Streamflows continue normal to much above normal statewide midweek with three active floods. Bayou Dorcheat is up considerably overnight, currently more than a foot and a half over the channel near Springhill in Region 1. Calcasieu River continues to flood near Glenmora in watershed Region 4. This river location has been flooding since December 28, currently more than a foot over. Sabine River continues to flood in Calcasieu Parish, the water level has dropped overnight, currently seven inches over flood stage.

Overcast, 56 degrees with a chance of sprinkles between 3pm and 4pm, then a chance of showers after 4pm. Overnight, there is a 40 percent chance of showers coming before 1am and patchy fog rolling in after 2 am. Mostly cloudy, 47 degrees in Shreveport, sunny today with a high 56.
