Rivers and bayous run normal to much above seasonal normal throughout Louisiana Friday with two record high flows in Saline Bayou and Bayou Lafourche for this date in water recording history. Amite River breached flood stage at HWY 22 near Maurepas yesterday at noon, currently observed just under flood stage at the writing of this report. Tangipahoa River persists in low flow in the company of higher volumes nearby in the Region 7 watershed. A 2nd percentile flow volume at Robert is well below seasonal normal, holding Tangipahoa Parish in severe hydrologic drought.
